I have been crazy about Grower since I first hit play on the titular track.
It’s an epic dream of Sega Genesis coming of age 80′s film soundtracks.
You have to hear it to believe it.

Randolph Chabot On Grower:
“This EP is inspired by Detroit and my friends there who I feel are a light in it. The title of it, Grower, represents what I feel is growing inside of peoples hearts and minds there. It is about human growth, so sometimes it can be messy or tragic, although I am not going to limit human experience to two adjectives or claim that I know the first thing about it.”

Seems like I’m late to the party, because everyone is talking about this year’s “Songs for Christmas” Volume 8
It’s another totally wonderful album. You can find it posted on any number of file sharing sites.*

What I want to know is who did what, especially the vocals on “Christmas In the Room.”
It sounds like The Signing Mechanic, but I could be wrong.
If anyone has a good scan of the back of the case, please email me.
I got my copy of HARK! from a Sufjan show at MassArt, so many years ago.
Who knew this would become an 8 series volume?

*Side note: Technically, it looks like Rafter ripped it and posted it.
Junior detective work! Looking at the log file in the zip. . . we see this:
Filename D:\Documents and Settings\Rafter\My Documents\Sufjan Stevens – Songs For Christmas Vol 8\01_-_Angels We Have Heard On High.wav
So, thanks Rafter! How about some good scans of the album art for Christmas?
