I can’t put into words how awestruck I was when I first saw this.
It’s got to be one of the best works of animation ever.

The imagery is simple and dreamlike.
The soundtrack is driving, somber, uplifting and a little fearful at times.

Why the whole Robot Carnival anthology was never released on DVD (or now Blu-ray…hello…)
I’ll never know. There’s got to be legal issues with the copyright or some such.
